Jennie Ollason, OTD, OTR/L

Jennie is a native New Mexican. She attended St. Mary’s and St. Pius High school in Albuquerque and received her BS in Exercise Science from UNM. She earned her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.

During OT school, Jennie completed a rotation at Stanford University’s Outpatient Hand Therapy clinic where she discovered her love of manual therapy. She also developed tension headaches during graduate school and discovered she was clenching her jaw. This began a long journey of learning how to manage her own jaw pain.

Jennie has been happily married to her college sweetheart Jack since 2012. They have two human daughters, Lucy and Isla, and two dog daughters Luna and Rosie. She enjoys traveling, cooking and baking, exercise, volleyball, creating nontraditional embroidery and hanging out with friends and family.

Jennie has over a decade of experience and specialty training in manual therapy techniques including myofascial and trigger point release and neuromuscular therapy. She is certified in taping using the Kinesio Taping Method and incorporates this noninvasive treatment in her practice regularly. She has completed both intensive TMJ courses given by renowned TMJ and Craniofacial Pain expert Michael Karegeannes, PT, MHSc, LAT, MTC, CFC, CCTT, CMTPT as well as Cervical and Cranium training at the Neuromuscular Therapy Center with director Judith DeLany, LMT. Jennie is also certified in Orofacial Dry Needling through Myopain Seminars and has been seeing incredible results with patients.

Jennie is very excited to bring all of this hands on experience to her practice. She is also working toward her Certified Cervical and Temporomandibular Therapist Certification with the American Academy of Orofacial Pain (AAOP) and is currently in training with CRAFTA, the European Cranio Facial Therapy Academy.
